Your Music,
Your Community,
Your Sales.

Build a home for your music and the people who support it. Leyr Servers are being built to help you sell more music, bring fans together around each release and connect the community you already have. Direct sales and subscriptions will put payments in your own account, with no cut for Leyr.

Servers are being built now. We'll take applicants through each step as it opens. Nothing is on sale yet.

Get started

Start with Leyr today

Your artist server is the same Leyr either way. Let us host it on Leyr Cloud, or run it yourself for free.

Easiest

Leyr Cloud

We run it for you

  • No server and no setup: upload your music and share it
  • Backups, updates and security handled
  • Ready for public mode when your server opens to fans

From $5 / monthEarly access through the waitlist

Self-hosted

You run it yourself

  • One container on hardware you already have
  • Every Cloud app feature, with your music on your hardware
  • Turn on public mode to open your catalogue to listeners

FreeDocker or Podman, a few minutes to set up

Either way, apply as an artist so we can verify your rights and switch on sales when they open.

Music and community

Bring the people who already care about your music

Your community might live on Discord, follow your mailing list or meet at your shows. Leyr is being built to give that community a place to listen, discover your next release and support you directly.

Turn listening into support

Put your catalogue, future purchases and subscriptions in one place. Let fans explore your music and choose how to support the next release.

Make a release a shared moment

Premieres, listening parties and member rooms are planned ways to spend time with fans and give them a reason to come back.

Connect your existing community

Keep your website, shop and community channels. Invite fans through the places they already follow you, and tell us which connections you need. Automatic imports and platform integrations are not available yet.

Who it's for

For whoever owns the music

A server belongs to the people with the rights to what's on it.

ArtistsSolo or a band. Your releases, your page, your listeners.
LabelsOne server for your roster, with a page for each artist on it.
CollectivesArtists who release together and share one catalogue.
CommunitiesA scene, a venue or a radio show, sharing music its members have the rights to.

How it works

From application to your first listeners

Apply

Tell us who you are and where your music lives now: your site, Bandcamp or MusicBrainz. That's the form below, and it's open today.

Prove the music is yours

Only verified rights holders run a server that sells. You show it with a statement from your distributor or label, a token placed on your official site or Bandcamp, or your MusicBrainz entry plus a review.

Choose where it runs

On Leyr Cloud, where we keep it running for you, or on your own hardware with the self-hosted install and public mode on.

Open your catalogue

Pick which releases are public. Listeners will browse and stream them from a browser or from their own Leyr, and join your server to follow it.

Sell and offer subscriptions Coming

Fixed prices you set for songs, albums and collections, and monthly tiers for your catalogue, early releases and member rooms. Payments go through Stripe Connect to your own account.

What a server gives you

Planned for your artist server

Your catalogue

Releases you choose, with full artwork, credits and liner notes. It stays apart from anyone's private library.

Listeners who join

People will sign in with one Leyr ID across every server, so you never handle their passwords.

Rooms

Listening rooms for premieres, listening parties and members-only sessions, with everyone hearing the same moment.

Paid to you Coming

Sales and subscriptions through Stripe Connect, straight to your own account, with no cut for Leyr. Buyers keep the files they bought.

Rights first Coming

Only verified rights holders will be able to sell, and a disputed release will be frozen until it's reviewed.

Found in the directory Coming

Listed by kind, genre and region in the app and on leyr.stream, so new listeners can find you.

Questions

Before you apply

Can I sell music today?

Not yet. Sales and subscriptions come after rights verification. Applying now puts you first in line, and we'll write before anything opens.

Can I bring my existing community?

Yes — that is part of the plan. Keep the channels your fans already use and invite them to your music on Leyr. Tell us about your Discord, mailing list, shop or website in the application, including any integrations you need. Applying does not import members or connect accounts; those integrations are not live yet.

Does Leyr take a cut?

No. Leyr takes nothing from your sales or subscriptions; it earns only from Leyr Cloud hosting, if you choose it. Payments go to your own Stripe account, so Stripe's usual processing fee applies, as it would in your own shop. Sales are still coming.

Do I need my own server?

No. Leyr Cloud can run it for you. If you'd rather run it yourself, it's the same Leyr as the self-hosted install with public mode turned on.

What music can a server share?

Only music you have the rights to. A self-hosted Leyr turns its download tools off while public mode is on, and music from those tools can never be made public.

What happens after I apply?

We read every application and write to you as each step opens: rights verification first, then setting up your server, then payments.

What do you do with my details?

We use them only to review your application and write to you about Leyr Servers. Reply to any message from us asking for deletion and we delete them.
